Locations

Locations are what can either make or break a film. They are vital to create a certain atmosphere for the film. Myself and Joe thought of many possible locations for our film however these below are the ones we have decided to use. The locations we chose are all local to us which allows myself and Joe as well as the cast to easily access all the shoots as neither myself or Joe can drive. Below are the locations that we have used.

Loose Valley

We decided to use Loose Valley for the lip syncing part of our film. This was because Loose Valley has a lot of open land/fields and this is what we need for our music video when Joe is singing. Loose Valley is also very close to Joe's house which is where we will be filming the majority of the music video and so it is very convenient to access. I think that this will be a very good location as not many people go there either so therefore we will not have any people who we do not want in the background of our shots.

Joe's House

We decided to use Joe's house as we are using both Joe and his mum as actors so therefore we thought if we need a house to use the most convenient house to use would be Joe's as his mum lives there with him so they would not have to travel anywhere. Joe also lives in the middle of me and Sam so it is very easy for us to access his house. Joe's house is a perfect size for what we need to shoot and his house will allow us to shoot different angles easily to make our music video as effective as it possibly could be. His house is also on a quite road so therefore we will not get any unwanted people walking in the shots outside/unwanted noise (even though sound does not matter).

Boughton Monchelsea Church

We decided to use Boughton Monchelsea Church as it is relatively close to Joe's house and also it is a perfect location for us. We need a grave and a graveyard will obviously be very ideal for us to find a grave. The Church is also quite old so it will give off an ancient feel to it and could make the audience feel slightly moved. The graveyard also has set walkways which we can use to walk on in order to prevent the equipment from being unnecessarily damaged by mud or anything else. Hopefully this location will be very effective and make our music video that little bit better.
